EliteSportsTips publishes football match predictions computed directly from historical results, league standings, and head-to-head records - not tipster opinion, and not numbers pulled out of the air.

How the predictions work

Every prediction comes from a statistical model (a Dixon-Coles corrected Poisson goal model) fed by data pulled from official competition data: each team's recent form, season-long win rate, goals scored and conceded per game, clean sheet rate, league position, and history between the two specific teams. The model turns those inputs into a most-likely scoreline and win/draw/ loss probabilities. Nothing is hardcoded per match - the same formula runs for every fixture, and the numbers behind each prediction are shown on its page.

We also publish our own prediction accuracy, tracked against real finished results, so the model's track record is checked the same way anyone else's would be.

What this site isn't

Predictions here are statistical estimates, not betting advice, and we don't take bets or sell tips. If you choose to bet, do so with a licensed operator and within your means.

Fixture, result, and standings data is sourced from football-data.org.
